Carolina Reaper

Carolina Reaper is the current Guinness World Record holder for the hottest chilli pepper in the world. In fact, the tests revealed a record spiciness of 2,200,000 SHU, with an average of 1,600,000!

In addition to the spiciness, Carolina Reaper also has a great fruity flavour.
It was hybridized by Ed Currie in the state of South Carolina, USA (hence its name), from the Habanero and Naga Morich plants.
